Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley talks about nerves to Glamour magazine
She's gearing up for the release of her breakthrough film next month.
But Daisy Ridley can breathe easy as the most nerve-wracking part of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens production is over and done with.
The 23-year-old actress has revealed she suffered from an extreme bout of first-day nerves, which left her wanting to 'die', on the set of the highly-anticipated sci-fi sequel, in a new interview which is accompanied by a stunning new photoshoot.

Daisy confessed to being so 'petrified' she couldn't breathe and wanted to break down in tears as she opened up in the January issue of Glamour magazine.

Daisy - who plays a scavenger named Rey in the much-awaited film from the popular franchise - added that the movie's director, co-producer and co-writer J.J. Abrams went to the liberty of branding her performance 'wooden'.

Daisy revealed: 'He probably doesn’t remember telling me that my performance was wooden. This was my first day! And I honestly wanted to die. I thought I was gonna cry, I couldn’t breathe.'
She went on to discuss the hype surrounding the upcoming release, saying she's overwhelmed by just how passionate fans are about her character despite the fact few details have been disclosed.
'It’s so nice that people are so excited about it. But people are getting tattoos! Of my face! Already! And I’m like, "you don’t even know what Rey is in the story". It seems insane to me,' the one-time Mr Selfridge star said.
Back in Blighty: Daisy returned to London on Wednesday after flying in from Los Angeles to Heathrow Airport
Daisy paraded her lean legs in the accompanying photoshoot with one shot showing her dressed in tan-coloured co-ords which comprised mini skirt and peplum hem leather jacket.
She smouldered as she relished her model moment, shooting the camera a partially open-mouthed stare.
Daisy and her co-stars - J.J., John Boyega, Adam Driver and Carrie Fisher - kick-started the promotional trail with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday.
And while fans of the franchise would've been hoping for some film spoilers, the cast managed to keep plot details top secret.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is scheduled for UK release on December 17 and in the US on December 18.
