Gabriel Iglesias T-shirts to Support the ASCPA
This time, Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias isn't being funny.
Beginning Oct. 4 and running through the next 12 months, the dog-loving comedian is partnering with Improv Comedy Clubs and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) to sell limited-edition T-shirts celebrating the launch of the Improv's inaugural Laugh-Line program.
Proceeds from sales of the shirts will directly benefit the ASCPA, which just kicked off its annual Adopt-a-Shelter Dog Month.
The Laugh-Line program celebrates collaborations between the Improv and the artists who perform there, raising funds and awareness for charities comedians like Iglesias support.
"Our hope is to prove that humor has the power to not only entertain but also make a positive impact on the world," says Levity Entertainment Group founder Robert Hartmann, whose company owns Improv.
"When the Improv asked me what charity I would want to select, it was no question it would be the ASPCA," Iglesias — who threw a fancy Quinceañera for his Chihuahua last year — shared. "It gives hope and protection to the voiceless creatures who depend on our compassion and care."
