Ex-con confesses to 2013 Bronx murder of homeless man

A New York man walked into a Bronx police station on Saturday to confess to a 2013 murder.
Eugene Villani, 41, walked into the 50th Precinct station house in Kingsbridge at 1:15 p.m. to confess to stabbing homeless man Efijenio Deletorre, 62.
Villani told officers that Deletorre was trying to rob him when he launched the attack.
At the time of the attack, New York City media described Deletorre as a homeless man who enjoyed collecting golf balls.
Villani was charged with murder and weapons possession.
He is an ex-con who spent time behind bars for attempted burglary and attempted assault.
